So is this vinyl +lacquer better/cheaper than paint + lacquer?
Chrome paints simply don't look as "chrome" as chrome vinyl.

How to get these plates
Unfortunately the video quality is quite blury when the camera moves. I would love to see a sharp picture of the wrapped roof to see if it looks as good as paint.

My guess would be to cut two pieces. Same size as the rim. One part just for the inside and one part just for the inner dish

Nice video. How well does a vinyl wheel hold up under normal use?
The wheel was lacquered afterwards, so the finish should last as long as a painted surface would!
